Worry Cats were inspired by the legend of the Guatemalan Worry Dolls; telling your nightmares or worries to them made it so you were able to sleep. Each cat is unique and has its own cattitude, with an unpredictable edge as to how it will turn out. They are made with only one needle over hours to promote and ensure relaxation and mindfulness.

Mental Health issues can affect anyone at any stage of life. Living with severe depression, ptsd, ocd or anxiety can make every day feel like climbing a mountain just doing the necessary tasks to maintain a life. Struggling with these things is often very lonely. When Worry Cats started it was about focussing on something other than unhelpful and harmful thoughts. Unless your mind was fully on the task, it could lead to painful experiences missing with the needle. Worry Cats became a way to give something to those who know what it's like and to hopefully become a cute reminder that it is going to be okay. You can talk to someone about the way you feel and you can build castles from ashes.
